Azores to take part in application process in Brussels for co-financing of campaigns aimed at the promotion of agricultural products
The Regional Secretary for Agriculture and Forestry announced today that the Azorean agricultural sector, through their representatives at the Azorean Milk and Dairy Centre, participates in an information session organised by the European Commission in Brussels on January 31. It is intended to follow all potential beneficiaries in defining projects for campaigns aimed at the promotion of agricultural products.
The call for submission of proposals for co-financing of campaigns aimed at the promotion of agricultural products, amounting to 128.5 million Euros, was launched this month by the EU Commission.
These actions consist in public relations efforts and information campaigns. They can also take the form of participation in events, fairs and exhibitions of national, European and international importance.
The programmes will take place in the European Union and in third countries in order to promote consumption and disseminate the many quality products that exist in Europe, where the Azorean products are increasingly asserting themselves for their excellence and distinctive features.
Producers' organisations and professional associations in the European Union, including those from the Azores, may submit their proposals until April 20, the date from which the projects submitted will be evaluated and selected.
National or regional authorities, members of associations and other entities are eligible participants in future promotional programmes.
