The Government of the Azores opens Monday, July 3, another period for the submission of applications for investment projects in the agricultural sector and installation of young farmers, two sub-measures (4.1 and 6.1) of the Rural Development Program of the Azores - PRORURAL +.
 
The deadline for submission of applications for these two sub-measures ends on September 29. They provide an overall allocation of 4.8 million Euros, of which 3.8 million Euros will be directed to sub-measure 4.1 and one million Euros to the sub-measure 6.1.
 
Applications must be made through an own form, available on the PRORURAL + Portal at http://proruralmais.azores.gov.pt.
 
From 2014 and until April 30, 2017, 470 investment projects in the regional agricultural sector have been approved under PRORURAL +, representing a public expense of 34.4 million Euros.
 
In the same period, 109 investments in the installation of young farmers were also approved, corresponding to a public expenditure amounting to 4.1 million Euros.
 
Investments made in the modernisation of agricultural infrastructures as well as in the rejuvenation of the sector are fundamental for the continuous development and growth of the Azores.
