Government of the Azores promotes public sessions on wild rabbit management in the archipelago
The Regional Secretariat for Agriculture and the Environment, through the Regional Directorate for Forest Resources, promotes today in Ponta Delgada another public session on the management of wild rabbits in the Azores.
The session is primarily directed to hunters and farmers. It aims to present the results of monitoring actions and provide clarification on the way how wild rabbit populations are reacting to the Viral Hemorrhagic Disease (VHF).
The event will be held at the Auditorium of the Regional Civil Engineering Laboratory at 8 PM. It will be attended by experts of the Research Centre in Biodiversity and Genetic Resources at the University of Porto and the Regional Directorate for Forest Resources.
