The Regional Secretariat for Agriculture and the Environment, through the Regional Directorate for Rural Development, promotes new application periods to eight support measures under Regional Development Program - PRORURAL+.
 
Until March 30, those who are interested may submit applications under the measures intended to encourage "Demonstration Activities and Information Actions" and "Quality Systems for Agricultural Products and Food."
 
Moreover, the application period for submission of application to the measures "Installation of Young Farmers," "Investment in Farms" and "Investment in Infrastructures takes place until April 29; the latter measure concerns the investment in agricultural and rural roads and the supply if water and electricity to farms.
 
At the same time, applicants may also submit projects under the measures "Recovery of the Agricultural Production Potential effect by Natural Disasters and Catastrophes," "Introduction of Adequate Preventive Measures - Preventive Actions" and "Cooperation."
 
Applications to the "Creation of Producers' Associations and Organisations in the sectors of Agriculture and Forestry" may be submitted until March 31.
 
"Demonstration Activities and Information Actions" are intended disseminate information to help improving the technical performance of farms and companies in the agricultural, forestry and agri-food sectors.
 
The "Investment in Farms" aims to improve the technical, economic and environmental performance of farms in order to improve competitiveness, diversification of production, production of quality food as well as to encourage young people to stay in rural areas, through employment creation and wealth generation.
 
The "Investment in Agricultural and Forestry Roads, Water and Electricity Supply to Farms" contributes to improvement of competitiveness by reducing operating costs.
 
The measure "Creation of Producers' Associations and Organisations in the sectors of Agriculture and Forestry" aims to increase the capacity to generate added value in upstream activities and tackle the value chain imbalance, through the establishment of partnerships and synergies.
 
In turn, the measure "Cooperation" will enhance innovation, cooperation and development of the knowledge in rural areas strengthening the links between agriculture, agri-food production, forestry and research and innovation, namely in the perspective of better management and environmental performance.
 
The support requests and the required documents certifying the eligibility of applicants should be submitted through the electronic form available on the PRORURAL + Portal (http://proruralmais.azores.gov.pt.). The submission of applications is authenticated with the identification code provided for that purpose.
