The Regional Secretariat for Agriculture and the Environment, in partnership with São Miguel Agricultural promotes Friday and Saturday the First International Seminar on Bovine Genetics, an event that brings together dozens of experts and about 300 participants in the Azores.
The seminar, which starts at 9.30 AM at the S. Miguel Exhibition Park, is aimed at the exchange of knowledge and the dissemination of the best that is made in this field, enhancing the export potential of bovine genetics in the Azores.
In addition to food and health managing techniques, the reproduction management is critical to the development and increase of competitiveness of farms.
In this regard, the panel of speakers selected for this meeting on bovine reproduction counts on a wide range of regional, national and foreign experts from Spain and Brazil, internationally renowned, who will share their knowledge in their areas of expertise.
In addition to the seminar, there will be a display of animals and a cattle market to take place Saturday, followed by visits to farms.
