The Office of Environmental Promotion of the Regional Secretariat of Environment and Sea promotes supported actions of participation, information, spread, sensitization, education and formation of the citizens on the subject of environment.

Among the activities there stand out:
1. the support to actions of formation – courses, conferences, seminars, lectures, workshops in the domain of the environment;
2. the spread and implementation of national and international projects and programs of environmental sensitization – Blue Flag, Accessible Beach, Eco-schools, Green Key, SOS Cory Shearwater, among others;
3. the technical and pedagogic management, in collaboration with other entities, of the Regional Net of Ecotecas;
4. the support to the non-governmental organizations of environment and to projects of environmental education of other entities;
5. the emission of opinions on requests of support to actions of environmental information, sensitization, education and formation.
