The Regional Secretary for Agriculture and Forestry recalled on Faial that "the Azores are the national region with the highest number of youngsters working in agriculture, which ensures the future and success of the sector and evidences the dynamics of this activity."

During the celebration of the Young Farmers' Day, the government official praised the organisation of this that "promotes interaction between farmers to stimulate the promotion of local products and the exchange of experiences and knowledge."

Noé Rodrigues also stressed the importance of the agricultural sector in the economic and social development of the Region. For that reason, it is essential that the Government continues to support such initiatives.
