Applications for the "Bento de Góis" programme, an initiative promoted by the Government in the area of youth, will be open until November 30 for projects to be implemented in the first half of 2014.
Managed by the Regional Directorate for Youth, this initiative aims to promote the regional, national and international mobility of youngsters residing in the Azores as a stimulating, enriching and structuring experience in the construction of Azorean identity and European citizenship.
The actions developed by this programme cover mobility in the Azores and throughout the national territory as well as exchange in the Azores and international mobility. This initiative is targeted at youngsters living in the Azores, aged between 12 and 26 at the start date of the project.
The eligible applicants for the "Bento de Góis" programme are the following: associations registered at the Azorean Register of Youth Associations, informal groups of youngsters, young individuals, basic education, secondary and vocational training schools, private non-profit associations engaged in activities in the area of youth and cooperatives promoting activities in the area of social support to youngsters.
In addition, non-profit organisations developing actions considered appropriate to the promotion of projects that fall within the programme may also apply for this initiative.
