The Government of the Azores, through the Regional Directorate for Youth (DRJ), will support 21 projects under the "Põe-te em Cena" programme, corresponding to a global amount of 29,460 Euros.
A total of 80 applications for this project from eight islands were under analysis at the first meeting held by the Evaluation Commission this week in Ponta Delgada.
The financial support covers seven associations that are not listed in the Azorean Register of Youth Association and 14 youngsters; these support measures comprise activities developed in the areas of music, arts, literature, visual arts, multimedia and design.
The "Põe-te em Cena" programme supports projects developed by youngsters, informal youth groups or non-profit entities that develop activities targeted at youngsters. In the context of these projects, youngsters should take active part in their implementation and play a key role in order to stimulate their initiative, entrepreneurial skills and creativity.
