From April 26 to May 14, the young Canadian Maxime Godin-Murphy will collect videos, photos and information on Azorean Youth Hostels as well as images depicting the archipelago.
The Canadian journalist is a "travel blogger" and a professional video producer. Departing from Toronto to the Azores, this young journalist will travel to the five Azorean islands where the Youth Hostels are located.
Throughout the trip, Maxime Godin-Murphy will post on his blog, known as "Du Monde Autour Du Monde" (www.dumondeautourdumonde.com) videos, photos and comments on a tour to several countries that will start in the Azores.
Upon his return, the Canadian journalist will make a documentary that will be available in the North American market, especially in Canada.
Maxime Godin-Murphy, aged 29, was born in Montreal and a holds a degree in Television and Film Production. He has actively worked in this field, especially as TV and web TV director.
The Azorean archipelago will also be on the spotlight as a team from Canal Plus (TV channel) is visiting the island of São Miguel until April 26 to make a report on the Azores for the "Xtreme Xperience" programme.
The weekly programme broadcast by this Spanish channel, which travels throughout Spain with a few celebrities in search of adventure and adrenaline activities, will take this opportunity on the occasion of Jordi Bago's participation in the Downhill Regional Cup, more specifically in the event to be held in Maia on April 22. This regional sports event is organised by Azorean youngster Fábio Jorge Paiva.
The Spanish sports channel, housed in the Ponta Delgada Youth Hostel, aims to produce a video to promote the Azores, including nature-related activities and the outdoor sports activities offered by the Region.
By combining the natural beauty of the Azores to the conditions for practicing outdoor sports, the team from Canal Plus has already planned some tourism animation activities with local companies in the areas of Whale Watching, Canyoning, Canoeing, Mountain Biking, Surf and Bodyboard.
