Azores represented in the National University Championships

The Academic Association of the University of the Azores, through the Department of Sports, will participate in the National University Championships in the sports category futsal and basketball to take place in Coimbra on April 11-15. The event is organised by the Academic Federation of University Sports.

This is an initiative to which the Government of the Azores has joined, through the Regional Directorate for Youth, by supporting the travels of young athletes to Mainland Portugal.

This partnership follows the cooperation strategy between the Government of the Azores and the Academic Association of the University of the Azores, as well as the Government’s purpose of disseminating the benefits of physical activity for health by promoting civic education and participation in cultural, sports and recreational activities.
