In the context of youth mobility, the '"Bento de Góis" programme will support this year 34 applications covering 540 youngsters aged between 12 and 26.
 
The Government of the Azores, through the programme promoted by the Regional Directorate for Youth, will allocate a global support over 51 thousand Euros to 20 projects on "Mobility in the Azores and throughout the national territory" as well as to 14 projects under the initiative "International Mobility."

This year, there is an increase in the internationalisation of Azorean youngsters either through initiatives developed with the aim of bringing Azorean youngsters closer to those from Azorean communities abroad or through the organisation of field trips to European countries.

The "Bento de Góis" programme aims to promote the regional, national and international mobility of Azorean youngsters as an enriching and stimulating experience to raise their awareness for Azorean identity and European citizenship.

The projects that were recently comprise socio-cultural, recreational, artistic, educational and scientific activities as well as the participation in conferences, meetings and other events in the area of youth.
