Twenty youth animators from several European countries participate, starting today, in the international seminar “Entrepreneurial Education - The path of success," an initiative organised by the Government of the Azores, through the Regional Directorate for Youth. The event is taking place in the city of Ponta Delgada.
The seminar, which will be held until Saturday, was organised with the goal of establishing partnerships and the sharing of good practices, following the strategy defined by the Regional Government in promoting internationalisation.
Participants, aged between 20 and 40 years, will discuss issues related to corporate social and cultural entrepreneurship. The seminar's programme also includes field trips to make participants better acquainted with the educational model for entrepreneurship that is being implemented in the Azores.
The programme "Entrepreneurial Education: The Path to Success" is one example of this educational model; it culminates with the regional competition "IdeiAçores" that will take place next Friday at the University of the Azores in Ponta Delgada.
Co-financed by the European programme "Youth in Action," the seminar "Entrepreneurial Education - The path of success" also intends to analyse and promote entrepreneurship as a direct consequence of new patterns in social and political relations and not just as a response to a decrease in employment.
