Regional Directorate for Youth promotes training courses on audiovisuals and multimedia
The Government of the Azores, through the Regional Directorate for Youth, in collaboration with Terceira Youth Academy and Teatro Micaelense will organise a series of training course on audiovisuals and multimedia.
With a duration of 20 hours each, these training courses comprise several areas: event production, event lighting, live sound, poster design, and mobile and tablet programming.
The courses are part of the Training Plan of Terceira Youth and Arts Academy. They are the result of a protocol that was signed between the Regional Directorate for Youth and the Praia Cultural Cooperative in partnership with Restart - Institute of the Arts, Creativity and New Technologies.
These initiatives are addressed at youngsters; their main goal is to contribute to the development of skills that will enhance the vocational profile of each participant. Participants will be assessed based on dedication, communication and creativity.
The first course will be a workshop on Poster Design to be held at the Terceira Youth and Arts Academy from May 30 to June 1.
The Youth Academy will organise another four workshops: Live Sound (June 13 to 15), Mobile and Tablet Programming (July 4 to 6), Event Production (September 19 to 21) and Event Lighting (October 17 to 19).
The Teatro Micaelense will host the workshops on Live Sound (June 16 to 21), Mobile and Tablet Programming (July 7 to 12), Event Production (September 22 to 27) and Event Lighting (October 20 to 25).
The Regional Government has been promoting several training courses on a wide range of contemporary areas since 2010. These initiatives are intended to foster creative and cultural entrepreneurship. So far, over twenty courses have taken place, covering more than 200 youngsters.
