The Government of the Azores promotes the dissemination session of the programme "Prepare Your Return Home" at the Faculty of Letters of the University of Coimbra on April 26 and the Department of the Environment and Planning of the University of Aveiro on April 27.
Since 2015, the Government has promoted four sessions to disseminate the project; two of which took place in the Azores (Ponta Delgada and Angra do Heroísmo) and the other two were held in Mainland Portugal (Lisbon and Porto). The initiative has involved about three hundred young people.
The dissemination of the project "Prepare Your Return Home" aims to establish a closer relation with the young Azoreans who left their home island to pursue higher education, making them acquainted with the opportunities that the Azorean Government has to offer them.
In these sessions, young people will have the opportunity to talk with technicians from various governmental departments, who will be available to present the programmes and incentive systems, answer questions, show the electronic platforms where programmes are released and support applicants, always in an informal environment.
These information sessions include the lecture "Make the Azores Happen" to be delivered by André Leonardo, who is collaborating in the fifth edition of the programme "Entrepreneurial Education: the Path to Success!"
The programme "Prepare Your Return Home" also aims to inform and follow Azorean students through an online platform (http://preparaoteuregressoacasa.azores.gov.pt). It provides all the useful information to young people, especially to those who left their island of residence to pursue higher education studies.
This initiative is primarily intended to ensure the best access to information as well as to support the submission of applications to several programmes designed to promote the full integration of young graduates into the business sector and labour market after the completion of studies.
