Second phase of the training route on Erasmus + Programme to start on Terceira Island
The Government of the Azores, through the Regional Directorate for Youth, in partnership with the national agency for the management of Erasmus + - Youth in Action promotes, starting today, the second phase of the training route on this programme.
The first phase of route took place during the months of April and May on Terceira, Graciosa, Pico and Faial, followed now by the second phase, which will tour the islands of Terceira, São Jorge and Flores.
On Terceira Island, the first training session took place this morning at the "Casa do Povo" of Santa Barbara, while the second session will take place tonight at the headquarters of ICHTUS-Port Judeu Youth Association.
On Tuesday, September 29, two sessions will be held on São Jorge; the first takes place at Calheta Basic Education and Secondary School, starting at 2 PM, and the second at Velas Basic Education and Secondary School, starting at 5 PM.
On Flores, four training sessions will take place at Santa Cruz Basic Education and Secondary School on October 1.
This itinerary is intended to disseminate the Erasmus + - Youth in Action Programme as a useful work tool for youngsters, association leaders and youth workers. The programme will be presented as an opportunity for the development of associations and their participants as well as to create the conditions that will ensure the implementation of good projects in the context of several activities.
With this initiative, the Government intends to further promote the exchange and mobility within Europe; encourage participation and debate on issues of youth interest; foster a multiplier effect with counterpart organisations and other potential partners; promote the exchange of experience and expertise among professionals in the area of youth and increase the number of users of sub-actions.
At the same time, the Regional Director for Youth will disseminate the Bento de Góis Youth Mobility and the Free Time Occupation OTL-J programmes as well as of the "Get into Scene" and "Youth in Focus: From dream to Action" programmes.
