The Regional Director began this week a round of meetings to hear youth associations of the archipelago with the aim of improving and streamlining policies in this area.
"This week we started to meet with youth associations of Pico, São Jorge and Terceira; the balance is clearly positive," Lúcio Rodrigues said, adding that these meetings allowed us to become acquainted with the "very important work" that associations are carrying out in valuing and in motivating young Azoreans.
The Regional Director spoke in S. Roque do Pico at the end of a meeting with Mirateca Arts, stressing that "this work is being meritorious and successful."
Lúcio Rodrigues stressed that he intends to develop a policy of "close proximity and dialogue with all institutions" in order to "improve the good policies that have been implemented over the years."
"The Region highly praises the role and contribution that each young person has to give our land and that is why we make a strong focus on the personal development of our youth," said the Regional Director for Youth.
