The Government of the Azores, through the Regional Directorates for Communities and Sport, promotes the 3rd Race for Interculturalism in Angra do Heroísmo on June 11 at 10 AM.
Organised in partnership with the Angra do Heroísmo City Hall, the Terceira Athletics Association and AIPA - Azores Immigrant Association, the initiative aims to promote cultural diversity, providing moments of socialisation and dialogue among various cultures, in addition to encouraging participants and society for the practice of sport.
This year's race is divided into seven levels of competition, men's and women's, including the following age categories: "benjamins" (very young beginners), children, initiates, juveniles, juniors, seniors and veterans (over 35 years).
The event includes a Walk for All, an activity intended to celebrate cultural diversity and raise the awareness of participants for this theme.
The event is open to all those who are interested. The gathering of participants is scheduled for 9 AM at Praça Velha in Angra do Heroísmo.
Registration is free and can be done until 9:30 AM on the day of the race at race office or by filling in the registration form at the Regional Directorate for Communities or the Terceira Athletics Association.
