The Regional Department for the Communities signed several cooperation protocols with some Social and Human Service Associations. These protocols aim to help the integration of the emigrant in the new country and subsequent reintegration in the Azores.

The protocols were celebrated between the Regional department for the Communities and the following associations:

-        Abrigo Center, Toronto, Canada, on September 16, 2004;

-        Working Women Community Centre, Toronto, Canada, on September 16, 2004;

-        SER – Jobs for Progress, Fall River, MA, USA, on March 26, 2001;

-        Immigrants Assistance Centre, MA, New Bedford, on March 26, 2001;

-        POSSO, San Jose, CA, USA, on March 23, 2001;

-        Cáritas from Terceira Island, on June 1, 1999;

-        Friends of Terceira Communitarian Centre, Pawtucket, RI, USA, on may 5, 1999;

-        PYCO, Fall River, MA, USA, on March 16, 1998.
