Eduardo Jorge Brum was born in Rabo de Peixe, S. Miguel, Açores.  He has published poetry, short stories and novels in the islands and in mainland Portugal.  He is the founder and director of the weekly newspaper Expresso das Nove. He resides in Ponta Delgada.
