Azorean Government promotes "DOC_EUROPA III" initiative on July 6-8

The Government of the Azores continues to promote the itinerant film cycle "DOC_EUROPA III." This initiative consists in the exhibition of 27 documentaries from each EU Member-State that focus on the theme "The European Union of Citizens." The documentaries will be shown at the premises of Alpendre Theatre Group, Terceira, from July 6 to 8.

In the context of the Azores presidency of the Conference of Outermost Regions, the coming of "DOC_EUROPA III" to the Azores intends to promote the knowledge in the Region about European cultural diversity and the reflection on the conditions and exercise of citizenship in the EU, through the exhibition of documentaries from its 27 Member-States.

"DOC_EUROPA III" was promoted by the Representation of the European Commission in Portugal and the Jacques Delors European Information Centre, through the Portuguese Documentary Association (APORDOC). The initiative was brought to the Azores by the Regional Government through the Cabinet of the Regional Under Secretary for European Affairs and External Cooperation in partnership with 9500 Film Society.

The exhibition of "DOC_EUROPA III" on Terceira will be attended by the vice-president of APORDOC, Maria João Taborda. The Friday, Saturday and Sunday sessions have the following schedule: 7 PM and 9:30 PM on July; 3 PM, 5 PM, 7 PM and 9:30 PM on July 7; 3 PM, 5 PM, 7 PM and 9:30 PM on July 8.
