The Government of the Azores promotes the film cycle "DOC_EUROPA III" on the island of Faial from January 15 to 17. This initiative consists in an exhibition of documentaries from each EU Member-State that focus on the theme the European Union of Citizens.
Sessions will take place at the João José da Graça Public Library and Regional Archives in the city of Horta on Wednesday at 5 PM, 7 PM and 9:30 PM; Thursday at 3 PM, 5 PM, 7 PM and 9:30 PM; Friday at 3 PM, 5 PM and 7 PM.
Admission is free and all films are subtitled in Portuguese.
This film cycle, which takes place in the context of the European Year of Citizens, intends to raise the Region's awareness for European cultural diversity and the reflection on the conditions and exercise of citizenship in the European Union.
"DOC_EUROPA III" was promoted by the Representation of the European Commission in Portugal and the Jacques Delors European Information Centre, through the Portuguese Documentary Association (APORDOC). The initiative was brought to the Azores by the Regional Government through the Cabinet of the Regional Under Secretary for European Affairs and External Cooperation in partnership with 9500 Film Society.

The sessions held on the island of Faial are promoted in partnership with the Public Library, where the documentaries will be shown.
"Doc_Europa" will then travel to the island of São Jorge, where it ends its tour around the nine islands of the archipelago.
