The Government of the Azores, through the Cabinet of the Regional Assistant of the Presidency for External Relations, promotes on April 10 the conference "Innovation: a new paradigm for the success of organisations" with Gilles Garel, an expert on innovation strategies.
The conference, which is part of the "European Citizens - Europe for Azoreans" programme will take place at Nonagon - São Miguel Science and Technology Park in Lagoa at 5 PM.

Gilles Garel is a professor of Innovation Management at the Polytechnic School of Paris and researcher at the Interdisciplinary Research Laboratory in Action Sciences (LIRSA). He has conducted research in the creation and management of innovation, working with innovative companies in various sectors of activity.
This world expert in the field of innovation is the author of several works, such as "La fabrique de l’innovation," co-authored by Elmar Mock, the co-inventor of Swatch.
This lecture is the second in a series of conferences to be held throughout 2017 to mark the 60th anniversary of the Treaty of Rome, which started on Terceira island with a lecture on "New challenges for Europe," delivered by Eduardo Paz Ferreira.
The cycle of conferences will feature personalities linked to various areas as well as national and foreign pro-Europeans, addressing different themes that range from innovation to policy, development, culture and education, being key areas in citizenship and development approach. There are other current and relevant issues to the archipelago of the Azores, such as outermost regions, the sea and new role of the Region.
