The Regional Under Secretary of the Presidency for External Relations, Rodrigo Oliveira, will participate in the meeting of the Political Bureau of the Conference of Peripheral Maritime Regions of Europe (CPMR) that will be held in the city of Malmö, Sweden, on June 7.

The Political Bureau is the higher political body of CPMR; it is responsible for the guidelines and positions that guide the activities of this inter-regional cooperation body that gathers over 160 peripheral regions from 28 European states.

The meeting's agenda includes the analysis of the European reality and matters related to regional policy and cohesion, maritime policy, State aid, energy and climate. Furthermore, the issues concerning the preparation and development of several activities to be carried out by CPMR will be also addressed at this meeting.

Rodrigo Oliveira will participate in this meeting, which takes place in the Swedish region of Skåne, on behalf of President Vasco Cordeiro, who is a member of the Political Bureau of CPMR representing the Portuguese regions.
