Regional Secretary for the Economy invited for the 10th Cultural Week of the House of the Azores of Winnipeg
The Regional Secretary for the Economy will participate next week in various initiatives organised under the 10th Cultural Week of the House of the Azores Winnipeg at the invitation of the event organisation.
During his visit to Canada, Vasco Cordeiro will also participate, on behalf of the President of the Government, in the celebration of the 25th anniversary of the House of the Azores of Ontario to take place next weekend.
During the dinner to celebrate the 25th anniversary of the House of the Azores of Ontario, the Regional Secretary for the Economy will deliver a message from the President of the Government for the Azorean community residing in that Canadian province.
In this message, Carlos César considers that the House of the Azores of Ontario has become in these 25 years, a “place of reference, meeting and socialisation,” being responsible for “many initiatives that have united and made Azoreans and friends of the Azores proud.”
For the President of the Government, the “Houses of the Azores” are a meeting space as and a space for cultural dissemination which is open to all.”
During the next week, Vasco Cordeiro will participate in various initiatives of the official programme of the Cultural Week of the House of the Azores of Winnipeg, particularly in the welcome session next Monday as well as in several concerts and lectures held throughout the week.
