Regional Government promotes energy efficiency training on Santa Maria and Flores
The Regional Secretariat for Energy, Environment and Tourism, through the Regional Directorate for Energy, will hold free training courses on energy efficiency on the islands of Santa Maria and Flores on March 15 and 19, respectively. They are directed to Village Council workers and technicians working at Private Social Solidarity Institutions (IPSS).
The training courses for Village Councils workers, which fall within the "Efficient+Villages," aim to provide local authorities with energy management principles for their facilities towards the optimisation of performance in this area.
In turn, the training courses on energy efficiency for IPSS is one of the components of the Integrated Energy Efficiency Programme. They intend to create an Internal Energy Coordinator (CIE) in each institution that will act as a link between the IPSS and the programme. With this training course, the Coordinator will acquire the necessary skills to improve the institution's energy efficiency.
These training sessions of regional scope are developed in partnership with RNAE - Association of Energy and Environment Agencies. They have already been held on São Miguel, Terceira, Faial and Pico.
