The Regional Director for Tourism stated in Horta on Tuesday that the Azorean tourism industry should be increasingly promoted in order to “exceed the expectations of customers.”
This view was conveyed by Miguel Cymbron at the closing session of the information session of Tourism and Hotel Training which took place the Barão Palace restaurant on Tuesday afternoon, an initiative promoted by the Horta Chamber of Commerce and Industry.
According to the Regional Director, the quality of the service rendered to customers is essential to ensure the loyalty of tourists.
Miguel Cymbron also reminded that this is one of the strategies to the increase the flow of tourists seeking the Azores.
Moreover, the Regional Director for Tourism considered that vocational training is a fundamental aspect to improve the performance of organisations and praised the excellent work that has been carried out by the Tourism and Hotel School.
During the meeting held in Horta on Tuesday afternoon, the training offers of the Tourism and Hotel School, an institution founded in Ponta Delgada in 2002, were presented to local businesspeople.
