ERSARA and EPAL sign cooperation protocol to support municipalities and regional municipal services
The Regulatory Authority for Water and Waste Services in the Azores (ERSARA) and Empresa Portuguesa das Águas Livres, SA (EPAL) will draw together a manual of best practices in cleaning water reservoirs for human consumption.
This manual is the result of the cooperation agreement signed between ERSARA, entity under the administration of the Azorean Government, through the Regional Secretariat for Agriculture and the Environment, and EPAL with the aim of complementing practical training courses.
These training activities that have been developed in the Region contribute to the development of human resources of the managing bodies regulated by ERSARA, including local authorities and municipal services, as part of commitment to improving and maintaining excellent water quality for human consumption in the Azores.
In this context, ERSARA has established training partnerships with EPAL, as a public company of reference for the credibility, experience and knowledge acquired over almost 150 years in the water and environmental sectors.
