Azorean Government launches tender for contract work for rainwater management in Grota da Chouriça Basin, Terceira Island
The Regional Secretariat for Energy, Environment and Tourism, through the Regional Directorate for Environment, has launched a tender for an intervention in the management of rainwater in Grota da Chouriça Basin in the village of Ribeirinha, municipality of Angra do Heroísmo.
This contract work, which complements an intervention already carried out downstream in the residential area, has a base value of 350 thousand Euros and a completion period of six months.
The work includes the construction of a drainage system and collection of rainwater from that hydrographic basin, the construction of a new retention basin that will enhance the capacity to collect solid materials as well as the redevelopment and paving of the rural road.
The project also covers the creation of an access ramp to the retention basin, allowing the access of machines for cleaning actions.
