Azores are chosen destination for the Technical Seminars of the Spanish Confederation of Travel Agents in 2019
The Azores were the destination chosen by CEAV - Spanish Confederation of Travel Agents to hold its Technical Seminars to take place on Terceira Island from April 4 to 7, 2019. The event brings together 150 participants, namely travel agents, tour operators, airline representatives and journalists.
The Regional Secretary for Energy, Environment and Tourism stressed that the "holding of this meeting in the Region is of utmost importance for the promotion of the Azores destination," following a partnership between APAVT - Portuguese Association of Travel and Tourism Agencies and the Government of the Azores.
"The flight operations from Madrid to Terceira have shown very positive results in the increase of tourism flows," said Marta Guerreiro. She added that the "seminars will be an excellent moment to increase the visibility of the Azores in the Spanish market, which is the third most relevant market, taking into account the profile of most participants."
According to the Secretary for Tourism, " this will undoubtedly be another opportunity for the Azores and, in particular, for Terceira Island to show what they can offer through the emotions experienced in this increasingly active and recognised destination at any time of the year."
CEAV is the most important travel agent association in Spain. Every year, it organises technical seminars in a different destination with the aim of providing participants with the opportunity to meet and discuss important matters for Spanish tourism, and outline the strategies for its activity.
The announcement of the Technical Seminars promoted by CEAV in the Azores was made today in Madrid in the context of a workshop with Spanish travel agents, which is also being attended by representations of the Autonomous Region of the Azores.
