The Azores tourism will be, once more, represented at ITB - International Travel Trade Show Berlin. This year's edition runs from March 6 to 10 in the German capital and will be attended by the Regional Secretary for Energy, Environment and Tourism, Marta Guerreiro.
The presence of the Azores at Berlin Tourism Fair, considered the largest tourism fair in Europe, represents an excellent opportunity for the Regional Government to be in touch with partners and create business opportunities for participating exhibitors. In fact, it will contribute to the dissemination of the archipelago's tourist sires, thus enhancing the potential and visibility of the Azores as a tourist destination.
The investment in internationally renowned fairs reinforces the position of the Azores in a market of special importance.
The German market is one of the main tourism markets for the Azores and, in this context, the Region is undertaking relevant efforts to promote the good performance of this specific market.
The Azores are being sought after by German tourists for the diversity of their nature tourism offer, namely hiking trails, diving and whale watching. These activities are immensely popular activities with this market and differentiate the Region from its competitors.
In addition to the specificities of the Azores, the investment in this market is mainly due to its maturity and the large influx of tourists.
