Marta Guerreiro highlights "Bea World Advisory Board" annual meeting as another event to promote the Azores
The Regional Secretary for Energy, Environment and Tourism highlighted in Ponta Delgada the holding of the annual meeting of "Bea World Advisory Board" as another event to promote the Azores destination.
"The opportunity to hold this meeting is another privileged moment to share the identity features of our Region as an ideal venue for the organisation of several events," stressed Marta Guerreiro, who spoke at a working session of this meeting.
The Secretary for Tourism mentioned that the event "brings together about 30 presidents of the main world event agencies representing more than 1,500 companies dedicated to the promotion and marketing of international events from countries such as Germany, Spain, United kingdom, France, Italy, among others."
"This is a working meeting organised by the institution itself. Its comprehensive agenda provides for the possibility of interacting with Azorean culture and enjoying various regional tourism products, namely whale watching, geotourism or food tasting events," said Marta Guerreiro.
"Every year, the Bea World Advisory Board chooses a venue for its annual meeting, where it sets its guidelines for the International Festival of Events and Live Communication," added the government official.
For Marta Guerreiro, "the fact that they have chosen the Azores for this event demonstrates that the Region has managed to consolidate its visibility not only as an Active Nature destination, but also an ideal venue for events."
"Hence, this is another example of how this sector has managed to position itself in the Congress Tourism segment, providing an important contribution to the sustainability of tourism flows throughout the year," stressed the Regional Secretary.
