II - Academic qualifications
Doctorate degree in History from the University of the Azores in 2004.
III - Professional experience
Researcher at CHAM - Centre for the Humanities of "Universidade Nova de Lisboa" (New University of Lisbon) - University of the Azores.
Associate Professor with Aggregation at the University of the Azores, having as main interests the areas of History and Cultural Heritage. Her teaching activity has focused on these areas. She has published several works and served as thesis adviser to students enrolled in master, doctoral and postdoctoral programmes.
She coordinated the scientific and museum-based programmes of the Living Franciscan Museum (Ribeira Grande), the House of Memories (Lagoa) and the Sahar Hassamaim Synagogue (Ponta Delgada). She is a member of the Diocesan Commission for Cultural Assets of the Azores.
She also served as President of the Municipal Assembly of Lagoa in 2012 and as Member of the Municipal Council of Lagoa between 2015 and 2016. In the latter year, she became a Member of the Legislative Assembly of the Azores.
