The Regional Secretariat for Education and Culture, through the Regional Directorate for Culture, promotes the launch of the catalogue of "José Nuno da Câmara Pereira - A Happy Sisyphus" exhibition at Arquipélago - Contemporary Arts Centre in Ribeira Grande on June 30 at 6.30 PM.
 
The exhibition's curator, José Luis Porfírio, will conduct a guided tour on Thursday, July 3.
 
Opened on April 21, this retrospective exhibition of this Santa Maria's artist showcases 62 works representing the main periods of his artistic creation, produced between the 1960s and 2006, including painting, video, installation and sculpture.
 
The exhibition, which includes a set of pieces belonging to private and institutional collections and the author's personal collection. It also features the collaboration of Azorean painter Urbano Resendes, who recreated an installation of José Nuno da Câmara Pereira from 1986, designated as "Landscape or Sea of Mud."
