Artistic Season 2018 presents in March concerts featuring Rui Massena and Rui Massena Band
The Government of the Azores, through the Regional Secretariat for Education and Culture, promotes three concerts featuring Rui Massena and Rui Massena Band during the first week of March, under the Artistic Season 2018.
The first concert featuring Rui Massena takes place at Teatro Faialense on March 2 at 9:30 PM. It is organised in partnership with Horta City Hall.
The ticket office is open during the week between 4 and 7 PM and 2 hours before the show; tickets cost 12 Euros.
On the following day, Rui Massena Band will perform at Teatro Micaelense in Ponta Delgada at 9:30 PM.
Tickets cost 12.50 Euros and may be purchased at Teatro Micaelense ticket office at the address https://teatromicaelense.bol.pt.
The Teatro Micaelense ticket office is open form Tuesday to Saturday from 2 to 7 PM and on performance days between 4:30 and 9:30 PM.
In partnership with Angra do Heroísmo City Hall, Rui Massena will perform at Angra do Heroísmo Cultural and Congress Centre on March 4 at 9:30 PM.
Tickets for this concert may be purchased at the at the Integrated Service Centre of Angra do Heroísmo City Hall from Monday to Friday between 8:30 and 4 PM. They are also available at the Cultural and Congress Centre from Thursday to Monday between 7:30 and 9 PM (closed on Tuesday and Wednesday) or at the address https://ticketline.sapo.pt.
Tickets cost 12.50 Euros, 10 Euros and 7.50 Euros according to the location of seat within the room.
Rui Massena is a well-known figure in the national cultural scene, who helped transforming Guimarães 2012 - European Capital of Culture into a story of success.
This was also the case with Madeira Classical Orchestra, having been its conductor and artistic director for 12 years.
He was the main guest conductor of the Rome Symphony Orchestra between 2007 and 2009. He was the first Portuguese conductor to perform at the legendary Carnegie Hall in New York.
