The Regional Directorate for Culture, through the Carlos Machado Museum, presents today the project titled "When Culture meets Nature" at the Santa Bárbara Sacred Art Centre at 5:30 PM.
Under this initiative, the Carlos Machado Museum joins Terra Azul - Azores Whale Watching and the Association of Amateur Photographers of the Azores in the organisation of an event scheduled for Sunday. Participants in this activity will ride the whaling boat "Senhora de Fátima" on Sete Cidades Crater Lake as a pretext for the organisation of a photography contest that aims to capture the contrast between culture, represented by the boat, and nature, symbolised by the water.
In addition to disseminating the Azorean whaling heritage and the unique landscapes of São Miguel Island, this initiative will provide participants with a unique opportunity to explore their creativity.
