The Carlos Machado Museum promotes an activity on the theme "The art of paper cutting" in the context of the "Family Sunday at the Museum" project. It will take place at the Padre João Flores Centre Community Centre in the village of Ribeira Chã, municipality of Lagoa, on April 8 at 3 PM. The activity is organised in partnership with Cresaçor, the Ribeira Chão Social and Parish Centre and the Ribeira Chão Museum Centre.
The activity is based on an explanation providing the historical context on the art of paper cutting in Portugal. Departing from the Museum's Regional Ethnography collection, participants are invited to explore this art under a contemporary look.
