External Services of Regional Directorate for Culture mark 45th anniversary of Liberty Day
The Regional Directorate for Culture, through its External Services, joins the celebrations of the 45th anniversary of Liberty Day (April 25) by promoting various initiatives.
The João José da Graça Public Library and Regional Archive in Horta presents a book exhibition on the theme "April 25, 1974" that will be open to the public from today until April 27.
This exhibition may be visited on weekdays from 9 AM to 7 PM and on Saturday from 2 to 7 PM.
In turn, the Luís da Silva Ribeiro Public Library and Regional Archive in Angra do Heroísmo presents an exhibition of the collection "Anti-fascism and Liberty Day" between April 24 and May 8 to mark this day and the celebrations of the World Press Freedom Day.
The documentary exhibition aims to disseminate the institution's collection among the community, namely the archives and library sections, which, in this case, complement each other. It will feature documents, periodicals and monographs on the "April 25 Revolution" as well censored publications in Portugal and abroad.
The Regional Directorate for Culture informs that this and other events may be consulted in the Cultural Agenda of CulturAçores Portal at the following address: www.culturacores.azores.gov.pt.
