The Regional Directorate for Culture, through Arquipélago - Contemporary Arts Centre, promotes the visit of Carolina Grau, international curator, to the studios of Azorean artists on April 5 and 6.
The curator invited by Arquipélago - Contemporary Arts Centre to develop the conceptual project associated with the Artistic Residencies "Terra Incognita" and "SALUTEM: à tua saúde" will be on the island of São Miguel to monitor the work of five artists participating in these initiatives.
Under the visit of Carolina Grau to the island of São Miguel, and supporting the internationalisation of Azorean contemporary art, this international curator will be in contact with some Azorean artists in order to become better acquainted with the work developed in terms of artistic production in this territory. In this context, she has scheduled visits to the studios of Nina Medeiros, Maria José Cavaco and Catarina Branco on April 5 and to the studio of artist Ricardo Lalanda on April 6.
Carolina Grau graduated in Art History at the University of Barcelona. She holds a Master's degree in Museums and Galleries Management from the Business School of City University, London.
