Luís da Silva Ribeiro Public Library and Regional Archive promotes yoga session for parents and children
The Regional Directorate for Culture, through Luís da Silva Ribeiro Public Library and Regional Archives in Angra do Heroísmo, promotes a yoga session for parents and children Saturday, March 25. It is addressed at children aged between 3 and 10, who should be accompanied by their father or mother.
The "Fathers and Sons" yoga session, which runs from 5:30 PM at the Children's and Youth Section of the Library, aims to provide a moment of interaction and closeness between children and their parents, thus contributing to the sharing of quality family time. It also intends to disseminate Books about Yoga and healthy lifestyles that are available at the library loan service.
Yoga is an ancient technique with proven benefits in health and human well-being. It has also has a positive impact on children's lives, balancing their energy levels and helping them to improve their behaviour.
This session will be conducted by teacher São Quadros, a graduate of the International University of Yoga, in partnership with Lusófona University of Lisbon. She also specialised as instructor of Yoga for children at the Sunshine Kids Yoga School.
Participants must bring their own mattress and attendance in the session is subject to prior registration; the maximum number of participants is limited to 10 vacancies.
