Luís da Silva Ribeiro Public Library in Angra do Heroísmo holds conference "Vitorino Nemésio: the poetry between the lightest light and the no more of colour"
The Regional Directorate for Culture, through the Luís da Silva Ribeiro Public Library and Regional Archive in Angra do Heroísmo, will hold the second conference next Friday, October 19, at 6 PM in the context of "Vitorino Nemésio: the fibres of Azorean torpor," open to the public since September.
On the 40th anniversary of the death of one of the greatest figures in contemporary Portuguese literature and the celebration and the anniversary of the first editions of some of his most significant works, the Library is organising exhibitions and holding monthly conferences featuring several experts with the aim of disseminating different approaches to Vitorino Nemésio.
"Vitorino Nemésio: the poetry between the lightest light and the no more of colour" is the theme of the paper to be delivered on October 19 by Fátima Freitas Morna, professor at the Faculty of Letters of the University of Lisbon and expert on 19th and 20th century literature.
