The Regional Directorate for Culture, through Luís da Silva Ribeiro Public Library and Regional Archive, in Angra do Heroísmo, promotes a photography workshop entitled "A grammar of the visual" to be guided by photographer Rui Caria from September 4 to 9.
This workshop, which runs from 7 to 10 PM, will highlight the importance of visual discourse and imagery, with special emphasis on spontaneous photography, similar to street style and photojournalism.
The event includes a practical component that will address the use of photography equipment, techniques, conversion and basic processing of digital negatives on a computer medium.
Participation in this workshop is free; registrations should be made by August 30 to the email Fernanda.pa.purificaçã[email protected].
Participants should bring a camera and laptop (optional).
Rui Caria has resided on the island of Terceira since 2005. His works have been featured in several national and international photography publications, such as the Telegraph, Daily Mail, Metro New York and Metro Luxembourg. He was the recipient of the "Silver Camera" award at the European Photographer 2016, an event promoted by the European Federation of Photographers.
