The Regional Secretariat for Education and Culture, through the Regional Directorate for Culture (DRC), presents a new editorial project under the title CulturAçores - Revista de Cultura (Culture Magazine), with the official seal of this entity. The event will be held at the Angra do Heroísmo Culture Shop next Thursday, February 12, at 8 PM.

The magazine will be published twice a year and falls within the strategy to promote and disseminate projects, activities and cultural events organised in the Azores, particularly the works developed by the services under the administration of DRC.

CulturAçores - Revista de Cultura is intended to become a communication tool for Azorean culture in the areas of cultural information, training and reflection, thus contributing to the dissemination of the actions developed in these fields and the dynamics created by different cultural entities. It also aims to share experiences, practices, opinions and reflections, disseminate research studies and, above all, stimulate artistic creation.

The first issue of the new DRC culture magazine, covering the months July/December 2014, has 152 pages; it features about 30 articles and the contribution of various collaborators.

The first edition of CulturAçores - Revista de Cultura highlights the implementation project of an Ecomuseum on Corvo. Its launch will include the offer of the Azores cultural itinerary - "Personalities" on the writer Raul Brandão and his visit to that island, recently published by DRC.
