The Pico Museum presents the underwater photography exhibition "Oásis by Nuno Sá Wildlife Photography – the incredible marine life of the Azores Sea" to take place in Lajes do Pico next Friday, August 7 at 9:30 PM.
The exhibition features 24 large format images, through which visitors will become better acquainted with the marine biodiversity of the Azores with a small sample of moments captured in the immensity of the sea around the archipelago, depicting some of its most fascinating species.
The Oasis project is led by nature photographer Nuno Sá, who has lived in the Azores for more than a decade. Currently, he stands out as the most awarded nature photographer nationwide. He has already been distinguished in some of the most prestigious international photography competitions.
Nuno Sá says he photographs life at sea "to stir up consciences on earth." His photos have been widely used to promote the Azores in magazines, exhibitions, posters and international fairs.
The exhibition will be open to the public in Lajes do Pico until September 27 and can be visited from Monday to Friday from 9 AM to 12:30 PM and from 2 PM to 5:30 PM. On Saturdays and Sundays, it will be open from 2 PM to 5:30 PM.
