The Regional Directorate for Culture, through Luís da Silva Ribeiro Public Library and Regional Archive, promotes a craft workshop to celebrate the "Three Kings' Day" on January 6 between 2 and 3:30 PM.
The activity aims to celebrate this holiday tradition, being directed to children and young people from the age of six. It will mark the time when the Kings were looking for this date, also known as the Day of the Astrologer in the stars, symbolising a path for a new time and a new era of hope and faith. In this context, and unlike the Magi, gold, frankincense or myrrh will not be used as the basis for this workshop, but rather salt.
Those who are interested should register until January 5 at the premises of the library or at the email [email protected]. Further information is available by telephone 295 401 000; the activity is limited to a maximum of 15 participants.
The Regional Directorate for Culture informs that this and other events may be consulted in the Cultural Agenda of the CulturAçores Portal at the following address: www.culturacores.azores.gov.pt.
