Ana Filipe, an athlete of Terceira Christian Youth Association, won the European Youth Games championship in Savona, Italy, a competition organised by IPC - International Paralympic Committee.
The Azorean athlete participated in the long jump competition, winning the gold medal with the mark of 5.24 metres.
Ana Filipe, accompanied by her coach, also represented the National Athletics Team at the Paralympic Games in Rio de Janeiro.
She is a high-performance athlete belonging to an Azorean sports club who benefits, as such, from the usual support granted by the Regional Government, through the Regional Directorate for Sport.
