Student from Santa Maria Basic Education and Secondary School wins contest for 30th School Sports Games logo
The proposal presented by Santa Maria Basic Education and Secondary School, developed by student Flávio André Andrade Resendes, won the contest of ideas for the 30th School Sports Games logo.
This contest was intended to select the logo for the 2019 edition of this emblematic school sports project in the Azores. It was promoted by the Regional Directorates for Sport and Education, both under the administration of the Regional Secretariat for Education and Culture, in the context of the association of school sports to ProSucesso - Azores for Education, a programme for the promotion of school success.
This year's edition of the School Sports Games has as its motto "+ DE = + SUCESSO." Its priority goals focus on the need to keep up with the trends of participants and the promotion of educational interdisciplinarity, with special emphasis on the fundamental importance of school sports in the education of young people.
Under the contest rules, the logo proposals to be presented should be in line with the multi-annual theme "Azores School Sports - ProSucesso," reflecting the importance of school sports in the promotion of school success and raising awareness for the social values, citizenship and identification with the school culture.
This contest was opened to all students attending the school establishments of the Regional Educational System, including public and private schools and vocational training schools, regardless of their participation in the 30th edition of the School Sports Games.
