The 3rd Regional Meeting of Technologies in Education (ERTE) will take place at Domingos Rebelo Secondary School in Ponta Delgada on September 5 and 6. This initiative promoted by the Regional Directorate for Education aims to make participants better acquainted with teaching and learning scenarios.
 
Held under ProSucesso for the third consecutive year, this meeting intends to disseminate among the Azorean educational community the digital tools and resources that can be used in education with benefits for students. 
 
Bearing in mind that new generations incorporate the use of their mobile devices and technology in their daily lives in an intuitive and natural manner, this initiative, included in the TOPA project (Bring Your Own Device), aims to harness students' potential to use technology for their own learning.
 
The 3rd Regional Meeting of Technologies in Education is especially addressed to kindergarten teachers as well as to basic education, secondary education and vocational training school teachers from all fields of study working at public or private schools.
 
The opening session will be attended by the Regional Secretary for Education and Culture, Avelino Meneses, and will bring together some of the leading regional and national experts in the areas of gaming in education, storytelling, programming and robotics, among other areas.
 
With a strong practical component, this meeting will also present to the educational community the best examples of the use of mobile devices and technologies in education. Therefore, participants will be provided with the necessary tools to apply the concepts and techniques to their teaching practices.
