More than 1,000 Azorean students to be covered by "Dove - I am confident" programme
More than a thousand junior high school students in the Azores will be covered this school year by the "Dove - I am confident" programme, an initiative promoted by the EPIS association - Entrepreneurs for Social Inclusion.
The training of teachers, about four dozen, began today on Terceira Island, and continues until Tuesday, which will also be held on São Miguel Island on Thursday and Friday.
In partnership with Dove and the Faculty of Psychology of the University of Porto, this programme has as its main purpose the promotion of positive body image.
Developed through seven 45-minute sessions in the classroom, the training that began today focuses, among other themes, on the ideals of beauty, the messages of the media and the appreciation of individuality.
