In the context of the Regional Curriculum for Basic Education, the Regional Secretariat for Education and Training, through the Regional Directorate for Education and Training, has launched a challenge to teachers from regional schools. It consists in the collection of little known facts concerning the Azores, including individual who have excelled in regional or local history, geographic, fauna or flora specificities as well as arts, crafts and other events that have shaped the archipelago's peculiarities. The facts collected under this initiative will be disseminated in the publication Did you know that...? About Azoreanity. Small peculiarities about the people and the land.

The project is now available in e-book format on the Azores Education Portal. The first issue contains 114 facts.

Besides this publication, the quiz "Do you know your Region?" is an activity specifically created for students" that will take place during the weeks of May 14 to June 16. With a new question launched every week, students may find the answer in the publication.
